We are branching out! A satellite congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota began holding weekly services on Sunday, September 13. The services were held at 10 am at The River Club, 6600 River Club Blvd, Bradenton, Florida 34202. While the location sports a Bradenton address, the building is located in Lakewood Ranch, east of I-75 and south of State Road 70. (See below for directions.)
Pictured top left is our spacious meeting room as it would appear for a banquet, courtesy of The River Club. Below that, Ed Kinder and Claudia Holmes perform a musical piece in front of the large plate glass window framing the peaceful trees outside the hall. At right is a view of our chalice lighting ritual during our first service.
With many members travelling during the summer, the group is taking a break. Services resume at 10 am on Sunday, September 11. Upcoming services will be announced on our home page, with further details on our Upcoming Services page.
In-Service child care is provided during the service.
The CaddyShak lounge is available after the service for brunch and fellowship. It's right next door.
From I-75, head east on State Road 70. As you approach River Club Blvd, you will see the sign shown here. A similar sign is posted for those coming from the east. Drive down River Club Blvd, past the school, till you see the next sign, pictured at far right, which is at the entrance to The River Club. On the map below, click on the + button to zoom in.
