The Pulse of the Community Beats Stronger
With Love and Unity
June 12 at 7:30 pm at Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Manatee Pride, Prism Youth Initiative and local LGBTQ supporters will hold an event on June 12th at 7:30 p.m. at the Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 322 15th Street West, Bradenton. The event will bring our community together to remember our 49 brothers and sisters who were killed in Orlando at the Pulse nightclub on June 12th, 2016.
The program will include several songs written in tribute to the victims and survivors: We Stand United (Orlando Pride Song), Hands (A Song for Orlando), Forty-Nine Times, and others. Ed Kobee from the Manatee Fellowship will welcome all, the Rev. Glen Graczyk of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Palmetto and the Rev. Dee Graham, formerly of Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will lead readings and prayers. Ro (Derek) Byers will speak about the loss of a beloved community member. All Pulse victims will be remembered as the unique individuals they were. The evening will end with Joan Butcher, Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship pianist, leading attendees in the inspirational hymn Everything Possible.
If attending, we ask that you please be on time as we are expecting a large number of people to be present.
