Board of Trustees

Meets in the Robert Lexow Wing on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Guides policies and committees. Members welcome

Breeze

Buildings

Responsible for maintenance and improvement of the physical plant and equipment. 

Caring
Rev. Doug Wadkins 
Provides short term home/hospital/rehab visits, cards, meals, transportation to doctor, referrals to area agencies and other needs as required.

Chalice Groups

The small groups foster Deep Thinking/Deep Listening in our congregation.

Choir

The choir sings twice a month on Sunday mornings and practices on Thursday evenings.

Design

Emerson Memorial Garden

This group cares for the Memorial Garden and many other gardens on our lovely property. Meets Tuesday mornings. Tools supplied.

Emerson Memorial Library

Endowment
Bill Geller
Manages church's endowment funds.

Finance 
Michael Brooks
Provides oversight of all finances and makes recommendations to the Board. Provides annual audit, assists Treasurer and Pledge Committee as needed/requested.

Flea Market 
Open
Recycle your unneeded items (except clothing) and pick up some great finds. Have a lot of fun and serious work with the people who participate in this annual event.

Forum

Meets first Sunday each month to review past Forums and plan future topics.  Members and friends are invited to attend and present their ideas. 

Get Together Dinners

Reservations required for once a month dinners held in members' homes.  Each person contributes a portion of the meal

Green Team 
Open
The Green Team advocates and educates to promote environmental justice and a sustainable way of life in order to leave a healthier planet for future generations.

Grounds

Maintains all gardens with Tuesday morning volunteers always welcomed.

Interweave

Focuses on Gay and Lesbian and Transgender issues meeting once a month in members' homes with a discussion and potluck.

Membership Development

Meetings are set for the 2nd Thursday each month at 1pm.  Contact Catherine Bonner for the link to the Zoom meeting. 
Staffs Welcome Center on Sundays, assists with census, supports activities to involve members in church, conducts New Member luncheon and orientation programs.

Memorial Services

Assists minister with memorial services by providing hospitality and refreshments.

Multimedia

Nominating

Presents a slate of candidates for officers and trustees of the Church Board, and for the Nominating Committee, which are voted on by the membership at the annual meeting.

Safety Committee

Reviews safety procedures for activities conducted on the UUCS campus as well as at UUCS Lakewood Ranch functions.  Meets on an "as needed" basis.

Serendipity Auction 
This is our major annual fundraiser. Participate by offering goods and services, and then placing your own bids on amazing meals, tremendous trips, rides to the airport, visits to museums, and much more.

Social Justice

The Social Justice Committee is dedicated to working on a local, national and international level to identify social justice issues, and to educating and involving our congregation regarding these needs.

Sunday Hospitality

Sunday Potluck

UU Service  Committee

Website Design and Maintenance

Worship

Consults with the minister in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all Sunday services. Selects, invites and hosts all guest speakers when the minister is not in the pulpit.
