February 3, 2023
Welcome to the month of LOVE and Black History! This month will be super busy with lots of events that revolve around both of those two topics and I hope that you and your families will join in. Our Lesson this week will be exploring the topic of Self-Love and Self-Care and why it is important. Both the children and the youth have a fun video to watch (not the same one) to help with their conversation.
TOMORROW, ⬅️⬅️⬅️ Saturday, Feb 4th from noon to 3:00pm is our Auction and Luncheon at the Church. This is our major fundraiser and FUNraiser for the year.
Sunday, Feb 5th- Odyssey Night at 6pm-8pm Bring a dish to share! We will have time for eating and socializing before playing a group game, What Do You Meme? (clean version) 😁
Friday, Feb 10th (6:30-8:30) and Saturday, Feb 11th (10am to 3:30pm with lunch provided) is our free Board-sponsored congregational workshop, BUILDING A CULTURE OF INCLUSION. This is an important program to engage all members and leaders in assessing how we can build a inclusive culture here at the church. This is a great way to represent our family viewpoints. Childcare will be provided on both days.
Sunday, Feb 12th- Inaugural Journey Circle/ Chalice Group meeting at 12:45pm. Bring a brown bag lunch.
Sunday, Feb 19th- Family picnic and tour of the Embracing our Differences at the Bayfront Park at 1pm. We can get a docent to give us a tour if we have more than 5 attending. Please let me know if you can make it!
Sunday, Feb 26th- Journey Circle/ Chalice Group meeting at 12:45pm. Bring a brown bag lunch.
Saturday, March 4th- 5-9pm Dinner, Dance, Karaoke Night at the Church. Looking for volunteers to help with the theme for this intergenerational event.
As you can see, a lot of fun and meaningful things to do on Sundays and more!
Hope to see you soon.
